Background

Dr. Leslie Masters has had an intimate relationship with the medical world since the age of 15 when she was nearly killed in a car accident that caused massive internal injuries, a crushed pelvis, leg and hip. She should never have walked again, but with the help of compassionate doctors and nurses, she fought through years of surgeries and physical therapy to regain her independence. The experience shaped Masters’ life and led to her own devotion to the medical field.

Leslie Masters is a physician, entrepreneur and single mother of three who grew up in small-town South Dakota and currently practices medical aesthetics in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Education

Dr. Masters received an undergraduate degree in General Science from the University of Iowa and a Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota. She went on to receive post-graduate training in Pathology, Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. While trained and experienced initially in the areas of Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, Dr. Masters entered the world of Medical Aesthetics in 2005 with The Masters Clinic.

Real discovery

Not long after beginning her work in the area of aesthetics, Dr. Masters noted a recurring theme. The vast majority of her patients came to her for various cosmetic treatments saying, “I just want to feel better.”

The revelation was the impetus behind her new book, Naked, as well as the expansion of Dr. Masters’ work into nutrition, skincare, wellness and wholeness.
